Located four blocks from Lake Michigan in Chicago’s beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood, the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center hosts non-profit groups of diverse faiths, cultures, interests and backgrounds. We provide an atmosphere of quiet and prayer for adult group retreats, as well as a comfortable and peaceful environment for meetings and conferences.  The Cenacle also hosts individuals for private and directed retreats.

The Cenacle can accommodate 80 overnight guests and has meeting space for groups of any size up to 100 persons.  Our chapel and courtyard provide space for prayer and reflection.  We offer full food service, wireless internet access, a business center, on-site parking and easy access to public transportation and the airports, all with affordable rates. 

We welcome adult religious groups, as well as non-profit groups that focus on personal growth, justice, education, the environment, community organizing, health care, neighborhood development, volunteer service and other areas of human endeavor. Groups come to the Cenacle for:

In 1920, the Cenacle Sisters first established a retreat house on the Cenacle Sisters first established a retreat house on the Fullerton Parkway site. Continuing that tradition, the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center is a place of spiritual, personal and professional renewal.

The word “Cenacle” refers to the upper room where Jesus and his friends gathered for their last meal together, as well as to the place where Mary and the disciples awaited the coming of the Spirit on the first Pentecost.
