CENACLE MINISTRY IN NEW JERSEY

The Cenacle Prayer Enrollment office in Highland Park, N.J. also accommodates space for prayer for those who wish to visit and/or for those waiting for their enrollment cards

The designated room for reflection is known as the St. Therese Couderc Prayer Room. The Prayer Enrollment also accommodates space for Sr. Helen Beairsto, r.c. to offer Cenacle ministry on weekends by appointment.

Sr. Helen Beairsto has been a member of this international congregation of Our Lady of the Retreat in the Cenacle aka: Cenacle Sisters for over 20 years. She shares in the ministry of the congregation to make Jesus known and loved through a variety ministries. She has been trained in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola as well as diverse schools of prayer. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. Sister is a member in the Spiritual Directors International, the Biospiritual Focusing Research Institute and the National Association of Social Workers.

Sr. Helen has been involved in various pastoral ministries and is presently ministering part time as a Mental Health Clinician located in an inner city. She also offers retreats days and/or evenings of prayer and reflection at the Prayer Enrollment site and other areas that she is invited to.

On site ministry…
The ministry offered at the Cenacle Prayer Enrollment Office includes spiritual Direction, Reiki and Biospiritual Focusing (BSF). The BSF ministry includes offering training and/or companioning individually. A small Group of Companions in the BSF Process have begun to meet on a monthly basis at the site.

Retreats…
Some of the general topics Sr. Helen has presented on are: various topics in spirituality and prayer, women’s issues, 12 step spirituality, sexual abuse, care of the caregiver, and other seasonal topics. She offers two annual retreats a year. In the spring, usually in the Lenten Season is the “Women, God and Prayer” retreat and in the late summer/ early Fall is the “Touch of God on Our Inward Spirit” (a retreat for those who know the BSF process). These retreats are held in designated retreat centers that can accommodate the group for a weekend that begins Friday evening and ends Sunday afternoon

Cenacle Companions…
The Cenacle Prayer Enrollment site also offers space for small group meetings such as the Cenacle Companions of Highland Park. This is a group of male and female lay persons who are in the process/ or have already discerned that they are being called by the Spirit of God to live their life with the guidance of Cenacle Spirituality.
