The inaugural Annual Campaign for The Houston Cenacle Fund is poised to surpass its goal of $100,000! Since Thanksgiving, the generous gifts to the Houston Cenacle Fund total over $82,000. Have you made your commitment of support yet?

The Board of Directors of the Houston Cenacle is fully committed to the mission of the Houston Cenacle – Your Sanctuary in the City. Tens of thousands of people in search of God’s love in their lives have benefitted from the quality spiritual programs, hospitality and guidance provided by the Cenacle Sisters and staff since 1955.

To ensure the legacy of this vision, the Board of Directors has established an annual fund – The Houston Cenacle Fund.  This annual fund will both consolidate and replace the Fall and Spring Appeals. 

Annual fund gifts are an essential component of the Cenacle’s operating budget, because income from the ministries does not cover the actual cost of running the Retreat House.  The Houston Cenacle Fund will allow the Cenacle to continue providing outstanding spiritual opportunities to all who seek its services.

Special Events
In addition to retreats, days of prayer and other programs, many of our Retreat Houses hold special events throughout the year such as concerts, teas, galas, golf outings, etc. To join in the fun while at the same time helping to support our work, check the page of the nearest Cenacle on this web site to find out the latest event in your neck of the woods.

Gifts

Contributions are gratefully accepted for a particular Cenacle retreat house, ministry, general needs, or for the elderly and infirm Sisters.

Cash Gifts
Gifts of cash (donations by check) are easy to do and can be used immediately for current needs. They can be given as a tribute or a memorial for a loved one.

Appreciated Assets
Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. can be transferred to the Cenacle. Check with your financial advisors (attorney, accountant) to learn about tax advantages.

Life Insurance
Life insurance policies, whether paid-up or naming the Cenacle as beneficiary on a new policy, can be donated to the Cenacle. Check with your financial advisors for tax advantages.

Retirement Assets
Naming the Cenacle as beneficiary of retirement assets (IRA's, 401K's, etc.) is another way to provide support for the Cenacle Sisters.

Bequests
An excellent way to provide for the future of the Cenacle Sisters and leave a lasting legacy is to remember the Cenacle Sisters in your will. You can leave your entire estate, a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or the residue. Check with your attorney for the specific wording but always remember that our legal title must be used. If you would considering a bequest, please contact us for our correct legal title.

In-Kind Gifts
Perhaps you have some computers or furniture that you do not need any longer. Consider donating to the Cenacle.
