The House is nestled on 20 acres of manicured land along Lake Pontchartrain in Jefferson Parish, a suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana. It has 52 retreatant rooms, a chapel, a meeting hall, library, dining room, large parlor, and various small parlors. The grounds are graced by numerous types of trees, including magnolia trees and live oak trees. The entrance is lined by two rows of white crepe myrtle trees donated by friends and relatives in memory of one of the Cenacle’s loyal retreatants after she passed away. Each retreatant bedroom, the dining room tables and chairs, the library, large parlor, small parlors, and the meeting hall have been completely renovated through the devotion and work of a group called “Friends of the Cenacle” which comprises ladies from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who were able to secure donations from a wide range of persons. Their next project is to replace the dining room floor.
