For those desiring to be fully attentive to the Presence of God, we offer a place of quiet, solitude and opportunity to move deeper into intimacy with God. To be alone with God is life-giving to spiritual growth. The hermitages are intended for those who seek God within and are comfortable in silence and aloneness. A minimum stay is three nights and a maximum stay is thirty days. The hermitages are comfortably and simply furnished for a solitary retreat experience. The hermitages are built in an ecologically sensitive design, that emphasizes our belief in reverence and respect for the earth as a gift from God. As Cenacle women of prayer, we firmly believe that silence and solitude play a significant role in our communion with God. “An irresistible attraction inclines me to recollection, silence and forgetfulness of all that is not God.” The hermitages are comfortably and simply furnished for a solitary retreat experience. They are 17 ft. X 17 ft. .en suite, and designed to offer an area for prayer, eating, and sleeping. A staff member will: ~ welcome you ~ answer any questions you may have ~ serve as your liaison and/or spiritual director during your stay here ~ inform you when a priest is available for Mass at the Center ~ arrange for use of a laundry machine when needed Meals will be provided at the Retreat Center; you may take a tray to the hermitage. Coffee and tea will be available in the hermitage. A minimum stay is three nights, and a maximum stay is thirty days. Bring appropriate clothing according to season. The hermitages are climate controlled. Smoking is not permitted on the premises. Ignited candles are not permitted in the hermitages, due to fire insurance regulations. Pets are not allowed in the hermitages. We assure you of our prayer during your retreat here. As Cenacle women of prayer, we firmly believe that silence and solitude play a significant role in our communion with God. Thank you for helping us encourage and maintain this silence on the grounds and in the buildings for the reverence and respect of all seeking the gift “where every-thing…turns to prayer.” “An irresistible attraction inclines me to recollection, silence and forgetfullness of all that is not God.” |
