This workshop will look specifically at the lives of Mother Teresa, Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin, Mohandas Gandhi, and Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks as examples of modern day prophets. Their writings, sermons, letters, speeches and the witness of their lives will be examined in order to understand the spirituality and operative theology that was the source of their prophetic witness. |

| Details: | Looking for some spiritual refreshment this summer? Hoping for some time apart or support in deepening your prayer? The flexible format of this week will provide the opportunity to make a day, a few days, or a week of prayer, with all of these options including a daily meeting with a spiritual director.
The Maude Adams House will be available from 9:30 to 4:00 each day of the week for those who wish to bring a bag lunch, meet with a spiritual director and spend the day in silence. Those who prefer to take their prayer time at home will have the opportunity to come for a daily meeting with a spiritual director at the Maude Adams House for the chosen length of their retreat.
Bring a journal and a Bible. The offering is $30 a day,bring a bag lunch. |
