"Our aim is to make the Gospel known to people of our time by ministry confided to us. We must ourselves be caught up by the love of Jesus Christ since our lives, far more than our words, must speak clearly of Christ."

Vocations: Cenacle Sisters

The nearer one draws to God

the more one desires to draw near to Him;
the more one is united to Him
the more one desires this union,
because one understands ever more fully
that God is the center of our heart

and that God alone can fill it
and make it happy.

(Saint Therese Couderc, 1867)

Like all Christians, Cenacle Sisters are called to let our hearts be transformed into the heart of Christ, so that we can say, with Paul, “it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). In the Cenacle we answer this call through our threefold mission: prayer, community life, and spiritual ministry.

Cenacle Sisters are called to enter the School of the Heart...

... where there is a constant flow of giving and receiving. God’s love is given to us so freely and generously that we see all things as a reflection of divine love, and we are deeply grateful. We experience how God creates and sustains everything in this world and our lives. We receive all as gift. In gratitude and love, our natural response is to give all back to God.
