      1. Is there a bathroom in the room?

        Bathrooms and showers are located at the end of the hallway.  Every room has a sink.

      2. What items should I bring?

        Bring personal toiletries; layers of clothes; bathrobe/shower flip flops (if desired).

      3. Do you allow children (minors) at your facility?

        The Cenacle is an adults-only facility in order to guarantee a retreat atmosphere for our guests.

      4. Do you have free WiFi?

        Yes. The reception desk staff will be happy to provide you with the access code.

      5. Are towels/linens/soap provided?


      6. Can I do laundry on-site?


      7. Do you have a refrigerator on-site?

        There are two refrigerators for groups in the house; it is located in the guest snack room. Please clearly label and date all items.

      8. Is there a T.V. in the room?


      9. Are there hair dryers in the room?

        No. Please bring your own.

      10. How do I have a package delivered to me?

      11. Do you have air conditioning?


      12. Is coffee/water provided in our meeting room?

        Coffee, tea, and water is provided only if the group leader has ordered it to be delivered to your meeting room. Our snack room has fresh drip coffee ($.50/cup).

      13. What is the neighborhood like?

        Our neighborhood is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Chicago. Within just a few blocks are restaurants, a grocery store, parks, blues clubs, jazz clubs, theaters, a Walgreens, a post office, and liquor store. The Lincoln Park Zoo is four blocks away and the beaches of Lake Michigan are five blocks away.



Located four blocks from Lake Michigan in Chicago’s beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood, the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center hosts religious and non-profit groups of diverse faiths, cultures, interests and backgrounds. We provide an atmosphere of quiet and prayer for adult group retreats, as well as a comfortable and peaceful environment for meetings and conferences.

The Cenacle can accommodate 88 overnight guests and has meeting space for groups of any size up to 100 persons. Our chapel and courtyard provide space for prayer and reflection. We offer full food service, wireless internet access, on-site parking and easy access to public transportation and the airports, all with affordable rates.

We welcome adult religious groups, as well as nonprofit groups that provide services that focus on areas such as personal growth, justice, education, the environment, community organizing, health care and neighborhood development.
