Remembering
As we pause and appreciate this long weekend holiday, let us recall the men and women who have blessed us with their service to our country and our world.  It is easy to forget the true meaning of the Memorial Day holiday with the picnics, beach trips, sleep ins and mattress sales.  But the sacrifices made by our military forces and their families have been part of our journey to the blessings we enjoy as a free and prosperous country.  So the Cenacle Sisters simply want to remember in prayer all those who sacrificed so much and their loved ones who have experienced the loss of their presence.  We pray for all of our donors, friends and families this weekend and ask you to pray for us as we continue to minister to all who enter our doors on Fullerton Parkway.

Are you a mother who needs a little time for herself, a caregiver that needs to recharge your spirit, someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one, a person who is discerning a major life-changing decision, or an individual who wants to focus on opening your heart to a fuller relationship with God?  The Cenacle is the perfect place to embrace you in any and all of these times.  The Cenacle Sisters invite you to the Cenacle for a private or directed individual retreat.

The Cenacle is open every day of the year allowing you to arrange a private or directed retreat designed for your unique schedule.  The length of your stay may consist of a few hours to as many days you need.  If you choose a directed retreat, a Cenacle Sister will accompany you in processing your prayer and discerning the movement of the Holy Spirit.    In an atmosphere of love and silence, you will have time for personal prayer, rest and reflection.  Also, you are invited to join the Cenacle Sisters at Mass, celebrated daily (except Saturday) and Sunday.  Most importantly, all the Cenacle Sisters will be praying with and for you during your special time at the Cenacle.

If you wish to discuss specific details, schedule a private or directed retreat or have further questions, please contact Sr. Judith Zonsius, Ministry Office Manager at 773-528-6300 or csisters@cenaclechicago.com.
