CREATIVE WRITING: USING LIFE AS FIELD RESEARCH
Creative writing is the process of putting your imagination, experience, thoughts and/ or ideas
on a page; an artistic expression using words as your primary tool.
In this 4 week workshop, we will identify the various forms of creative writing, the essential elements for writing any piece and how life can be used to help you create original work.
Each session will include examples from published authors’ work, time for personal writing
and feedback. This is a wonderful opportunity to hone your writing so your creativity shines as brightly as possible.
Using Life as Field Research for personal essays, experiences, stories, interests, hobbies, etc. this four week series engages in creative writing both during and between sessions. No previous writing workshop experience necessary.
This is a four week series on:
November 9, 16, 30, and December 7 (we skip over Thursday November 23, Thanksgiving)
Each online session is 90 minutes from:
10:30 AM Central — 12:00 Noon Central
(11:30 AM Eastern — 1:00 PM Eastern)
Please note, none of the sessions are recorded. We also ask that cameras be on at all times.
