Many people are familiar with the fourteen prayerful reflections on Jesus' journey to Calvary, the Stations of the Cross.  The early followers of Jesus also celebrated the continued presence of the Risen Jesus through the practice of the Stations of the Light, marking fourteen post Easter encounters with Jesus.

We will use various prayer experiences found in the book Stations of the Light, by Mary Ford-Grabowsky.

The series will introduce participants to these events through a variety of spiritual tools including ancient and contemporary meditations, reflections, writing and other practices.

Begin the Holy Week Triduum on Holy Thursday with the Mystery of the Eucharist Call to Service Formation for Ministry.  Jesus gave us His Body and Blood in the sacrament of Thanksgiving. As we share in this service may we be transformed into His true followers.

The Holy Thursday Celebration of the Lord's Supper will conclude with the transfer of the Holy Eucharist to an altar of repose and time for personal adoration and keeping vigil with the Lord.

Celebrant is Rev. Bernard Mulcahy, OP

Our monthly Contemplative Wednesday Mornings for Women continues to focus on deepening our friendship with God. Our March morning will explore Lectio Divina as a way of praying.  Lectio Divina is a Latin phrase which means "Divine Reading". The ancient prayer practice uses Scripture passages for prayer.  Read, Listen with the heart, reflect, respond to God, rests in God.

Did you procrastinate with your Lenten preparations?  There is still time to register for our March 11-13 retreat "Women I Wish I Had Met".  Presented by Rev. Terry Ryan, CSP this retreat offers insights from Etty Hillesum, Dorothy Soelle and Elisabeth Leseur from their experience of God rooted in the early Christian mystics.

Prayer,  Interior struggle and growth, reflection on and response to each one's life circumstances.

Leseur died just before World War I. Hillesum and Soelle both lived under Hitler's domination of Europe and Hillesum died in Auschwitz.

Fr. Ryan will help us discover what these women have to say to us today in our relationship with God.
